This integrated mining complex includes the Carborough Board & Pillar and Broadlea Open Cut Mines, as well as a centralised Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP), where collaboration between our sites and teams is key to delivering secure and efficient outcomes.**WHAT THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ABOUT**You will primarily focus on providing critical engineering support to the team and manage project initiatives to improve operations on site. You will be a part of a collaborative team of professionals that have extensive operational and technical experience, with strength and focus on underground coal operations.* Oversee planning and management of risks associated with Geotechnical hazards within the bounds of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations to maintain and improve mine safety.* Perform geotechnical assessment, design and review work, including mapping, sampling, and laboratory testing, to assess ground conditions and identify and manage potential hazards.* Develop and implement geotechnical monitoring programs to ensure early detection of any geotechnical issues.* Work in collaboration with the geology, mining,
