The District Council of Tumby Bay is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Corporate Services team.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, you will play an significant role in supporting Council's day-to-day financial operations and customer service functions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Managing accounts payable and receivable

- Processing invoices, payments and financial reconciliations

- Assisting with financial reporting, BAS and month-end processes

- Supporting payroll, rates and other finance functions as required

- Providing friendly and professional customer service

- Assisting with general administration and Council operations

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Experience in finance, accounts or administration

- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy





- Good organisational and time-management skills

- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude, initiative and willingness to learn

Previous experience in local government or a similar finance role will be highly regarded.
