The Position
Cygnet Family Practice is a medium-sized, bulk billing, accredited general practice. The team members are skilled, enthusiastic, and genuine in their patient care, and a wide variety of presentations makes for a rewarding and challenging clinical experience.
The practice is seeking an additional VR GP with no restrictions to join the team on a full-time/part time basis.
A willingness to train and mentor registrars and medical students and an interest in nutritional medicine would be an advantage.
The general practice is currently open Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm. We provide daily nursing support.
We provide an Urgent and After-Hours Service led by a nurse practitioner and community paramedic on Thursdays, Fridays from 10am until 8.30 pm, and Saturdays from 9am-8.30pm. This service supports our GPs with walk in presentations and prevents the GPs from double bookings and ‘fit ins” on those days. After hours on other days is covered by Healthdirect Australia, so there is no requirement for on-call.
