About the role

- Lead the ongoing implementation of the organisation's cost management framework and strategy , including internal cost planning and governance.
- Provide expert cost planning, cost analysis and risk management advice throughout the design and development lifecycle.
- Undertake cost analysis prior to site investigations and other key project milestones to support evidence-based decision making.
- Develop and implement cost management systems, processes and plans aligned with best practice and relevant legislative requirements.
- Provide strategic advice to senior executives, project teams and key stakeholders on cost management, cost control, commercial risks and project performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing pre-tender estimates and cost plans.
- Reviewing and assessing variations and progress claims .
- Conducting cost benchmarking and detailed data analysis.
- Providing cost and commercial advice to project teams.
- Conducting peer reviews of external cost plans and internal cost estimates.
- Reviewing project cost risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
