About the Venue:

Set in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West, Southern Cross Hotel is a multi-level pub in St Peters offering multiple bars, a vibrant bistro, beer garden, TAB and bottle shop facilities, and adaptable function spaces. About the Role:

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Food & Beverage Attendant to join the team at Southern Cross Hotel on a casual basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to build their experience in hospitality. Previous food and beverage experience is preferred but not essential, as we’re happy to train someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

You’ll be involved in the day-to-day operation of the venue, helping deliver efficient service across our food and beverage areas. From taking orders and serving customers to keeping the venue clean and well-presented, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive experience for our guests.

Weekend availability is essential, and we’re looking for someone who is flexible, dependable and ready to contribute to a busy team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide friendly, efficient and professional service to customers
- Take customer orders and serve food and beverages
- Assist with bar, bistro and general food and beverage operations as required
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented service area
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
- Follow responsible service of alcohol requirements and venue procedures
- Assist with setting up and packing down service areas




- Respond to customer requests and enquiries in a helpful and skilled manner
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a positive guest experience

About You:

- Hold a current RSA and RCG (essential)
- Have weekend availability (essential)
- Previous hospitality or food and beverage experience is preferred but not essential
- Have a friendly, approachable and customer-focused attitude
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Have strong communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
- Be willing to assist across different areas of the venue when needed
