Role Workstream: Application Sustainment and Feature Enhancement

Application maintenance and sustainment; full-stack web application development; application integration, remediation and enhancement; DevSecOps implementation and maturity uplift; software engineering support and technical leadership; technical documentation development and maintenance.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Full Stack Developer role based in Canberra.

The Full Stack

Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain web applications across both front-end and back-end layers. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing user interfaces, building and integrating APIs, optimizing application performance, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.



The role involves collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers to refine requirements, estimate tasks, and deliver features on schedule. The developer will also participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tooling.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for building responsive, accessible user interfaces.
- Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development for creating and maintaining server-side logic, APIs, and data integration.
- Candidates should possess skills in Full-Stack Development to work effectively across the entire application stack and bridge front-end and back-end components.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) and server-side technologies (e.g., Node.js, .NET, Java, or similar) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing practices is preferred.
- Robust problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the capacity to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment are important.
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is advantageous.
