About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Pizza store located in Palmerston.

The Store

Manager is responsible for achieving specific operational performance targets, including reducing delivery times, increasing local sales, and improving “Voice of Customer” scores, while managing a diverse team and ensuring full compliance with brand and operational standards. The role requires strong organisational capability, leadership skills, and the ability to manage daily operations within a fast-paced QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) environment.

Salary: AUD $80,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation

Tasks and Responsibilities

Store Management & Coordination

- Directly manage and coordinate a diverse team of approximately 15 employees, comprising an Assistant Manager, Shift Supervisor, Pizza Makers, Delivery Drivers and Multi-Role Team Members.
- Use independent judgment and problem-solving on a day-to-day basis regarding staffing and operational matters.
- Monitor and optimise restaurant “make times” and delivery logistics to meet strict speed targets.




- Implement strategies to improve “Voice of Customer” feedback and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Oversee daily inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering to maintain freshness and minimise wastage.
- Apply brand criteria and operational procedures to ensure consistent quality in line with company standards.

Team Leadership & Development

- Undertake screening, assessment, and training for all recent staff members to ensure high performance.
- Provide one-to-one support and mentoring for Shift Runners to ensure they successfully achieve operational goals.
- Manage staff rosters to balance labour costs with peak-hour demand while maintaining service quality.
- Supervise and support direct reports comprising 1 Assistant Manager, 1 Shift Supervisor, 5 Pizza Makers/BOH Team Members, 6 Delivery Drivers and 2 Multi-Role Team Members.
- Promote a positive, productive, and team-oriented workplace culture.

Financial & Compliance

- Monitor daily and weekly sales data to identify opportunities for growth within the local Forest Lake market.
- Oversee store-level operational costs and labour budgets to support profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all food safety protocols, temperature logs,



and hygiene standards meet both legislative and brand requirements.
- Provide regular operational reporting to the Director regarding store progress and performance metrics.

Qualifications and Work Experience Required:

- At least three years of relevant experience in retail management, hospitality management or a Quick Service Restaurant leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing the day-to-day operations of a busy customer-service business.
- Proven ability to lead, train and develop a diverse team.
- Experience preparing rosters and managing labour costs against operational demand.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly during busy service periods.
- Sound commercial awareness and experience monitoring sales, costs and operational performance.
- A practical understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers from diverse backgrounds.
- A high level of computer literacy, including experience with POS systems, database environments and Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work flexible hours where required, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
