About the Venue:

Set in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West, Southern Cross Hotel is a multi-level pub in St Peters offering multiple bars, a vibrant bistro, beer garden, TAB and bottle shop facilities, and flexible function spaces. With a strong local following and a busy gaming operation, Southern Cross Hotel is a fast-paced venue where great service, professionalism and attention to detail matter.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Gaming Attendant to join the team at Southern Cross Hotel on a casual basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of gaming operations who enjoys working in a busy local pub and delivering professional service to regular patrons.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the gaming area, providing friendly and attentive service while maintaining high standards of responsible gaming, compliance and presentation. You’ll need to be confident working across the gaming floor, managing your responsibilities independently and supporting the wider team to ensure the venue runs smoothly.

Weekend availability is essential, with flexibility to work across busy trading periods.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor gaming machines in line with venue procedures
- Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to gaming patrons
- Monitor the gaming area and maintain a clean, protected and well-presented environment
- Follow responsible gaming practices and all relevant compliance requirements
- Assist patrons with gaming-related enquiries in a professional manner
- Complete gaming procedures, reporting and reconciliation as required
- Work confidently and independently while maintaining strong service standards
- Communicate effectively with the wider team and management




- Assist with venue closing procedures as required

About You:

- Have at least 1 year of gaming experience
- Hold current RSA, RCG and ARCG qualifications (essential)
- Have weekend availability (essential)
- Possess strong communication and customer service skills
- Understand responsible gaming practices and compliance requirements
- Be confident working independently in a busy gaming environment
- Be reliable, punctual and professional, with a strong eye for detail
