About the role

Working alongside experienced accountants and managers, you'll gain practical experience supporting a diverse range of clients, from individuals and family businesses to companies and trusts.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with preparing financial statements, business activity statements (BAS) and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.

- Prepare and maintain accurate workpapers and supporting documentation.

- Assist with client enquiries and correspondence with external parties, including the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

- Support the preparation and lodgement of relevant corporate and compliance documents.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver accurate, timely and professional client service.

- Develop your understanding of accounting standards, tax legislation and relevant systems and processes.

- Seek feedback, ask questions and take an active role in your learning and development.

About you

We're looking for someone who is curious, motivated to learn and ready to build a career in accounting.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- A completed or near-completed degree in Accounting,



Commerce or a related discipline.

- An interest in business, accounting and taxation.

- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- A collaborative approach and willingness to ask questions and seek feedback.

- The ability to organise your work and manage competing priorities with support.

Previous experience in an accounting firm is welcome but not essential. We value the skills and experiences you've developed through study, part-time work, volunteering and other opportunities.
