Graduate Project Manager | Land Development | Property & Construction | $75,000–$85,000 Super | Full-Time | Albury-Wodonga
Start your career building projects that shape communities.
Ready to turn your degree into a career you can be proud of?
Imagine working on real development projects, learning directly from experienced industry professionals and building the skills to become a confident Project Manager — all while enjoying a lifestyle that gives you more time outside the office.
We're looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Project Manager to join an established project management consultancy specialising in land development, property and construction.
Whether you're approaching graduation or have recently completed your degree, this is your opportunity to gain practical industry experience, develop your skills and build a long-term career in project management.
You'll be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, takes pride in its work and gives emerging professionals the opportunity to grow. Rather than being stuck on the sidelines, you'll be involved in projects from the early planning stages through to delivery, with guidance and support from experienced Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.
And the location? Albury-Wodonga offers a refreshing alternative to the big-city grind, combining career opportunities with an enviable regional lifestyle.
Your opportunity to learn, contribute and grow
No two projects are the same. You'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of land development, property and construction projects valued between $500,000 and $30 million.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you'll build your knowledge across the entire project lifecycle, including:
- Project planning and coordination, helping turn concepts into practical plans, programmes and deliverables.
- Budgets and commercial management, including cost estimates and expenditure tracking.
- Project delivery, monitoring progress, coordinating activities and helping keep projects on schedule.
- Client and stakeholder relationships, working with consultants, contractors, government authorities and other stakeholders.
- Procurement and tenders,
participating in procurement activities and tender processes.
- Reporting and documentation, preparing project reports, maintaining records and managing correspondence.
- Risk, quality and compliance, helping identify project risks and supporting quality, safety and environmental requirements.
- Construction and development, gaining practical insight into how projects progress from initial planning through to completion.
As your experience grows, so will your responsibilities. You'll be supported to take greater ownership of project tasks and progressively develop the capability to manage projects with confidence.
Who we're looking for:
We're interested in more than just what's written on your CV. We want someone with the right attitude, curiosity and motivation to build a career in project management.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Are completing, or have recently completed, a degree in civil engineering, engineering, construction management, project management or another relevant discipline.
- Have a genuine interest in land development, property, infrastructure or the construction industry.
- Bring some relevant industry exposure through employment, internships, placements or hands-on experience. Civil construction experience is particularly valuable.
- Enjoy working with people and building productive relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Are organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail.
- Are commercially curious and keen to understand how projects are planned, funded and delivered.
- Can work collaboratively while developing the confidence to take initiative and solve problems.
- Are comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel,
and are willing to develop your skills in project management software.
- Hold a current driver's licence.
An understanding of the property development lifecycle, government approvals and regulatory requirements would be advantageous, but we're happy to hear from candidates who are keen to learn.
You don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation, a willingness to learn and the drive to make the most of the opportunity.
Why build your career here?
- A genuine pathway into project management: Get involved in real projects from the outset, develop practical skills and work towards greater responsibility as your experience grows.
- Learn from experienced industry professionals: Work closely with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers who can share their knowledge and help you develop professionally.
- Variety that keeps your career moving: Gain exposure to projects of different sizes and stages, with a particular focus on land development and the opportunity to broaden your industry experience.
- A team culture where you can thrive: Join a growing regional consultancy with a collaborative workplace culture and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.
- A better balance beyond the office: Make the most of Albury-Wodonga's regional lifestyle, with the Murray River, walking and cycling trails, surrounding countryside and shorter local commutes. Enjoy the convenience of city amenities without the same pace and pressures of a major capital city.
Make your first career move count
Your first role after university can shape the professional you become. This is an opportunity to develop practical skills, learn from experienced people and build a solid foundation in an industry where no two projects are alike.
If you're motivated, eager to learn and excited by the idea of helping deliver property and land development projects, we'd love to hear from you.
Ready to take the next step?
Submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your background, what interests you about project management and why you'd like to build your career in land development.
We look forward to meeting you.
