About the role

Crumpets by Merna is looking for a reliable, organised and hands-on Griddle Line Cook to join the production team in Caringbah. You'll be at the heart of daily production: mixing batter and dough, managing time-sensitive batches and cooking crumpets and English muffins on the griddle. Product quality is central to this role. You'll need to follow timings and procedures carefully to help ensure every batch is consistent and meets high standards.

Key responsibilities

- Mixing batter and dough for daily production
- Managing time-sensitive batches and following required resting and cooking times
- Cooking crumpets and English muffins on the griddle
- Monitoring product quality, consistency and cooking results
- Following recipes, production procedures and HACCP food safety requirements
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and food safe
- Meeting daily production deadlines
- Communicating clearly with the team and coordinating work as needed

About you

- Previous cooking experience is essential, ideally in a commercial kitchen, bakery or food production environment




- Experience working on a griddle or hot plate is an advantage
- Knowledge of flour, batter or dough is a bonus
- Solid attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality food
- Good communication skills and a highly organised approach
- The ability to manage time-sensitive work and meet deadlines
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- A dependable, practical and positive attitude
- The physical fitness and ability to perform active, hands-on work in a hot kitchen
