About the role

SEQ Grounds & Gardens is an established commercial grounds maintenance company specialising in large-scale mowing and vegetation management across Brisbane. We're looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our growing team.

Previous landscaping experience isn't essential. We're happy to train the right people. What matters most to us is a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to turn up consistently and put in a solid day's work.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding outdoor role, primarily involving commercial brushcutting and vegetation maintenance across parks, roadsides and public open spaces.

What you'll be doing

- Operating commercial brushcutters (whipper snippers) and other grounds maintenance equipment
- Maintaining grassed areas, roadsides and public open spaces
- Working as part of an established crew
- Following safe work practices and maintaining equipment
- Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Please note: This is not a garden maintenance or general landscaping position. A significant part of your day will involve commercial brushcutting, repetitive physical work and working outdoors in Queensland conditions.

What we're looking for

We're particularly interested in people who have previously worked in physically demanding roles such as construction, warehousing, agriculture, trades or general labouring. You don't need previous brushcutting experience, but you do need:

- A reliable attitude and a strong work ethic
- The ability to consistently arrive on time and ready for work
- The willingness and physical capability to undertake demanding outdoor work




- The ability to follow instructions and work safely within a team
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport
- A genuine interest in ongoing employment

Previous experience operating brushcutters, mowers or other outdoor power equipment will be highly regarded, but is not essential.

What we offer

- $32–$34 per hour casual starting rate, subject to experience
- Approximately 40–45 hours per week during the peak growing season, depending on operational requirements

Important: This is seasonal casual employment. Hours fluctuate throughout the year, with reduced hours during slower periods and occasional weeks without work during winter.
