About the role

You'll work closely with the owners and take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the gym. A key part of the role is being someone we can trust to confidently run the gym when the owners are unavailable.

Key responsibilities

- Overseeing daily gym operations
- Leading and supporting staff
- Keeping staff accountable to their responsibilities and standards
- Following up leads, trials and prospective members
- Supporting membership sales and retention
- Handling member enquiries and routine issues
- Maintaining procedures, systems and operational checklists
- Assisting with rosters, staff training and onboarding
- Monitoring stock, inventory and supplies
- Ensuring the gym remains clean, organised and well presented

About you

- Previous experience in a management, leadership or supervisory role
- Takes ownership and follows things through




- Confident leading people
- Organised, reliable and proactive
- Communicates well with staff and members
- Can make sensible decisions independently
- Solid customer service skills
- Understands the importance of sales and member retention
- Comfortable with systems, spreadsheets and administration
- Can stay calm and work through problems
