HEAD BARISTA / BAR SUPERVISOR WANTED ☕️

Good coffee, good people and a pretty great place to spend your mornings watching the sunrise beachside.

We're looking for an experienced Head Barista / Bar Supervisor to join our team at Elk Espresso in Broadbeach.

We're a busy beachside café with a love for specialty coffee, seasonal food and genuine hospitality. Our mornings are full, our regulars are familiar faces and there's rarely a dull moment behind the machine.

We're after someone who loves making great coffee but gets just as much satisfaction from helping a team grow.

Someone who can bring a little calm to the chaos, lead by example and make the people around them better.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Solid specialty coffee experience and a genuine understanding of quality, consistency and workflow.
- Have solid experience in specialty coffee
- Can dial in and adjust on the fly during service
- Know your way around espresso, single origins, and filter
- Confidence leading a busy bar, especially when things get moving.
- A natural ability to train, encourage and develop other baristas.
- Someone who notices the little things,



takes initiative and genuinely cares about the guest experience.

-A team player who understands that excellent hospitality is everyone's job, not just the floor team's.

- Can have a good banter to the crowds THE GOOD STUFF
- A supportive, fun team who take their coffee seriously (but not themselves).
- A chance to have a real say in how our bar operates and develops. Working alongside another head barista (yep, we require two at Elk as we are busy!)
- Opportunities to grow your leadership skills and help shape our coffee culture. One on one training with Social Espresso, cupping sessions & mentoring.
