Are you a passionate health promotion professional committed to improving sexual health outcomes and reducing the impact of HIV, sexually transmissible infections (STIs), and blood borne viruses (BBVs)? If you are looking for an opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment while making a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of communities across South Western Sydney, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have:
Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Tertiary qualifications in health or related field.
- Tell us about a significant HIV, blood borne viruses (BBV) or sexual health program that you have led or supported. How did you contribute to its planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting, and what outcomes were achieved?
- Describe a time when you identified an emerging issue, risk or opportunity within HIV, BBV or sexual health. How did you use data and evidence to inform priorities and influence decision-making?
- HIV, BBV and sexual health programs often require balancing population-level priorities with the needs of priority populations. How have you approached this balance in your work, particularly when working with communities experiencing disadvantage or inequitable access to services?
- Describe a situation where you were required to manage multiple competing HIV, BBV or sexual health priorities simultaneously. How did you organise the work,
engage stakeholders and ensure outcomes were delivered?
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
