About the role

These are local positions working across the Townsville and Charters Towers regions. You will be responsible for safely operating heavy vehicles, completing daily pre-starts and vehicle checks, and carrying out all construction site work in a safe and professional manner.

Key responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy vehicles (tip trucks, water trucks, water truck & dog trailer)
- Complete daily pre-starts and vehicle checks/maintenance.
- Carry out all construction site work in a safe and professional manner

About you

- Current HR/HC Australian Driver Licence
- Previous experience operating tip trucks and/or water trucks
- Experience with water truck and dog trailers highly regarded
- Experience operating a Road Ranger gearbox is desirable
- Applicants must be able to meet WPHS drug and alcohol testing requirements as a condition of employment, in accordance with relevant workplace policies and procedures
- Robust commitment to workplace health and safety




- Successful applicants will be required to wear high-visibility (hi-vis) clothing, long pants and appropriate safety boots in accordance with WPHS policies and procedures
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Construction, civil, mining or similar industry experience is advantageous
