Progressive Air Australia is growing, and we’re recruiting for 2 roles: HVAC Service Technician and a Residential HVAC Installer to join our Brisbane team.

$2,000 sign-on bonus payable upon successful completion of probation

Service Technician

- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on commercial and residential air conditioning systems
- Diagnose and repair faults across split, ducted, multi-split, VRV/VRF and package systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow and control issues
- Complete breakdown repairs, component replacements and system testing
- Identify equipment defects and recommend practical repair or replacement options
- Prepare clear job reports, including photos, findings and recommendations
- Identify additional work during site visits and provide details to support quoting
- Communicate professionally with clients and provide updates on system condition and completed works
- Work closely with the service manager and office team to coordinate jobs and parts requirements




- Support apprentices and promote safe work practices and quality workmanship
- Work independently and as part of a team across a variety of sites throughout Brisbane

Residential HVAC Installer

- Install residential HVAC systems including ducted, split and multi-split air conditioning systems
- Install ductwork, grilles, refrigerant pipework, drains, controls and associated components
- Read and interpret residential construction drawings and HVAC layouts
- Coordinate with builders, electricians and other trades throughout construction
- Complete rough-in, fit-off, commissioning and final installation works
- Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure systems are installed correctly and efficiently
- Maintain clean, organised and professional worksites, particularly in occupied homes
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality installations on time

About You To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience within the HVAC industry
- Qualified or 3rd/4th Year Apprentice
- Strong knowledge of commercial and/or residential HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills




- A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused attitude
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, builders, suppliers and team members
- Current driver’s licence, White card and relevant industry licences/tickets where required
