Role Overview The ICT Maintenance Manager will support the COSPO Operations Team, working under the general guidance of the SO1 Operations.

The role is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing maintenance activities across multiple Defence ICT and cyber systems, from development through to production. The successful candidate will oversee ongoing maintenance, field support, technical maintenance planning, fault management and service delivery to ensure systems remain operational, compliant and aligned with agreed technical baselines.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will:

- Plan, coordinate and manage ICT system maintenance activities.
- Manage maintenance tasks across multiple systems and technical workstreams.
- Coordinate and task regional Field Service Representatives.
- Work closely with Maintenance Controllers, Product Managers and Engineering teams.
- Develop and continuously improve the Maintenance Management System (MMS), policies and procedures.
- Coordinate Level 1 and Level 2 support activities.
- Develop and maintain Technical Maintenance Plans (TMPs) covering routine maintenance, system updates, defects and faults.
- Manage maintenance logs, faults and defect reporting.
- Monitor and resolve support portal tickets.
- Ensure systems remain aligned with agreed technical baselines and identify compliance issues.




- Engage regularly with stakeholders to understand service requirements and resolve operational issues.

Essential Qualifications And Experience

Candidates should demonstrate

- Qualification in ICT Systems Engineering or a related discipline, such as a Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV.
- Demonstrated ICT experience.
- Experience in a Maintenance Manager role supporting ICT and/or ADF systems.
- Systems Engineering and/or Systems Maintenance experience.
- Strong Defence experience.
- High-level management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capability.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
- Solid understanding of maintenance management and engineering principles.

A Certified SAFe Practitioner qualification is mandatory for COSPO personnel but may be completed following engagement. Desirable Experience The following would be highly regarded:

- Maintenance management experience within the ADF.
- Formal Maintenance Management qualifications.
- Qualifications in relevant Technical Regulatory Frameworks.
- ITIL certification.
- Agile, DevOps or Scrum experience.
- Experience or understanding of ICT and cyber security.
- Experience across infrastructure, systems engineering and systems integration.

Candidate Profile This opportunity would suit an experienced ICT Maintenance Manager, Systems Maintenance Manager, Technical Maintenance Manager, Defence Sustainment Manager or ICT Support Manager with a strong Defence and systems engineering background.

The strongest candidates will combine practical maintenance management and ICT sustainment experience with knowledge of systems engineering, technical maintenance planning, field support, fault management and stakeholder coordination in complex Defence environments.
