Level 2 IT Support Engineer | Managed Services | Perth - South of River

Hays Technology is partnering with a well-established Managed Services Provider that has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional IT support and solutions to a diverse client base across Western Australia. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Level 2 Engineer to join their close-knit technical team.

Engagement: Permanent, Full-Time

Start Date: ASAP The Role

As a Level 2 Engineer, you'll provide technical support across a broad range of client environments while working closely with senior engineers on infrastructure, cloud and security initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing Level 2 support via phone, remote access, email and occasional onsite visits.
- Troubleshooting and resolving escalated Microsoft infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
- Supporting and administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID and Windows Server environments.
- Managing and supporting networking infrastructure including switches, routers and firewalls.
- Assisting with backup, disaster recovery and virtualisation platforms.
- Participating in infrastructure upgrades, migrations and project delivery.
- Responding to security alerts and assisting with cybersecurity implementations.




- Building strong relationships with clients through exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
- Documenting solutions and contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives.

About You To be successful in this position, you'll have a solid technical foundation, excellent troubleshooting skills and a genuine passion for technology.

You'll ideally bring:

- 2+ years' experience in an IT Support, Systems Administrator or MSP environment.
- Robust experience supporting Microsoft technologies, including:
- Microsoft 365
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Azure / Entra ID
- Exchange Online
- Intune
- Exposure to networking technologies, firewalls and security best practices.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience with RMM and PSA tools will be highly regarded.
