You Matter D.S. is seeking a reliable, experienced and dedicated Male Disability Support Worker to join our team in Bendigo with an Immediate Start.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience supporting children with complex behaviours and Behaviours of Concern (BOC). The successful candidate will be confident, patient and consistent in their approach, with the ability to build positive relationships while providing safe, person-centred support.

About the Role

- Supporting children with complex behaviours and additional support needs.
- Implementing Behaviour Support Plans and following strategies to manage Behaviours of Concern.
- Promoting safety, emotional regulation, independence and positive outcomes.
- Building trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Maintaining accurate shift notes and completing required documentation.
- Working collaboratively with families, support coordinators and the wider support team.

Essential Criteria To be considered for this position, applicants must meet all essential criteria:

- Male applicant.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the disability support field, including direct experience supporting children with complex behaviours and Behaviours of Concern.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, patient and professional in challenging situations.
- Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans and positive behaviour support strategies.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification,



or willingness to obtain if accepted by the employer.
- Strong communication, reliability, professionalism and a commitment to person-centred support.
- Full working rights in Australia.
