About the role
Do you love midwifery but want more control over when and where you work?
Pick up agency midwifery shifts across Sydney private hospitals, matched to your experience and availability. Work may include birth unit, antenatal ward, post-natal ward and special care nursery.
Night shifts are our current priority, with day, evening and weekend shifts also available — so you can work as much or as little as you like. Take planned shifts booked in advance, or pick up extra work at short notice.
Duties
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred midwifery care on each shift
- Work across birth unit, antenatal, post-natal or special care nursery as rostered
- Work alongside the hospital's multidisciplinary team
- Confirm your availability for planned or short-notice shifts
- Communicate with Contract Care and hospital staff professionally
Skills and experience
- Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
- At least 12 months' experience as a midwife in an Australian healthcare setting
- Current National Police Check and Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid / CPR or basic life support certification
- Immunisation history statement
- Relevant working rights for Australia
