Bridge IT is seeking an experienced EL1 Mobile Automation & AI Tester to support a complex Federal Government ICT program.

This role will provide specialist testing and quality engineering expertise across mobile applications and AI-enabled digital solutions. The successful candidate will lead and undertake the design, development and execution of automated testing across mobile platforms and AI-enabled capabilities.

The role will provide technical assurance that solutions are reliable, secure and fit for purpose, while contributing to contemporary automation frameworks and testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, execution and maintenance of automated testing for mobile applications.
- Develop and enhance scalable, reusable and maintainable mobile automation frameworks and automated test suites.
- Develop testing approaches for AI-enabled features and services.
- Validate the accuracy, consistency, reliability and expected behaviour of AI-generated outputs.
- Design test scenarios and datasets to assess expected, unexpected, edge-case and failure conditions.
- Undertake functional, integration, regression, end-to-end and exploratory testing.
- Analyse business and technical requirements, solution designs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with developers, architects, product teams and technical specialists to investigate and resolve defects.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyse test results, defects and quality metrics to identify trends, risks and assurance needs.
- Provide specialist advice on mobile automation, AI testing approaches,



quality risks and solution readiness.
- Support testing of security, privacy, accessibility, performance and resilience requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of automation frameworks, testing standards, tools and quality engineering practices.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to testers and delivery team members.

To be successful, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mobile application testing.
- Strong experience designing and implementing automated testing across mobile platforms.
- Experience developing and maintaining mobile automation frameworks and reusable automated test suites.
- Demonstrated experience testing AI-enabled applications, features or services.
- Experience assessing the quality, reliability and consistency of AI-generated outputs.
- Solid experience across functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
- Ability to analyse complex technical and business requirements and develop testing strategies, scenarios and automation coverage.
- Strong technical leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, architects and multidisciplinary ICT delivery teams.

Highly Desirable

- Experience with Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or comparable mobile automation frameworks.
- Experience testing generative AI, machine learning or AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience with model or AI output evaluation approaches.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
- Experience delivering testing capability within large or complex Australian Government ICT or digital transformation programs.
