About the roles

As part of Frontline Australia's grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining client sites to a consistently high standard.

These are hands-on outdoor positions involving commercial mowing, gardening, landscaping maintenance and general grounds care.

Mowing & Gardening Team Members

Your responsibilities will include

- Operating commercial push mowers, ride-on and zero-turn mowers.

- Lawn mowing, edging, brush cutting and blowing.

- Hedge trimming, pruning, weeding and general garden maintenance.

- Operating and maintaining commercial gardening equipment.

- Following daily work schedules and completing allocated tasks efficiently.

- Maintaining clean, tidy and professionally presented client sites.





- Conducting equipment pre-start checks and reporting maintenance issues.

- Following WHS procedures, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and site-specific safety requirements.

- Working collaboratively with your Team Leader and other crew members.

- Assisting with additional grounds maintenance and landscaping activities as required.

Mowing & Gardening Team Leaders In addition to hands-on grounds maintenance, Team Leaders will be responsible for coordinating and supervising their crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key leadership responsibilities include:

- Leading, supervising and motivating a grounds maintenance crew.

- Organizing daily tasks, work schedules and site requirements.

- Ensuring allocated jobs are completed efficiently and within scheduled timeframes.

- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, productivity and site presentation.

- Conducting quality inspections and addressing any issues identified.

- Ensuring all team members follow company WHS procedures and SWMS.

- Training, mentoring and supporting team members.

- Monitoring equipment condition and reporting servicing or repair requirements.

- Communicating professionally with clients and management.

- Completing required job documentation, timesheets and site records.

- Taking responsibility for crew performance, safety and the overall quality of completed work.

We're looking for Team Leaders who lead by example, communicate effectively and aren't afraid to get involved in the hands-on work.

What we're looking for

To be successful, you should have:

- Experience in mowing, gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance, or a genuine willingness to learn.

- Experience operating commercial mowing and gardening equipment, or the ability to be trained.

- A current driver's license.

- Strong reliability, punctuality and attendance.

- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

- The physical fitness required to undertake outdoor manual work.

- A strong understanding of workplace safety and safe equipment operation.





- Good communication skills and a qualified approach.

- The ability to follow instructions, manage daily tasks and work efficiently.

- A willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

- Flexibility to commence work early when required.

For Team Leader applicants, previous experience leading a mowing, gardening, landscaping or similar outdoor maintenance crew is highly desirable.

Qualifications in horticulture, parks and gardens, landscaping or related fields will be highly regarded but are not essential.
