Built on strong family values, operational excellence and a commitment to continuous improvement, we have earned a reputation as a trusted partner to our customers.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work closely with our General Manager and leadership team to build workforce capability, strengthen our culture, support our leaders and ensure best-practice people management across the business.
About the role
We are seeking a commercially astute, hands-on Business Development Manager to win profitable new business and retain and grow key customer accounts across our target markets.
Reporting to the General Manager and joining the Leadership Team, you will own commercial and strategic customer relationships, lead pricing and contract negotiations, and build a qualified sales pipeline. Your success will be measured by sustainable gross profit growth, customer retention and delivery of agreed commercial priorities.
You will work closely with Operations, Finance, Customer Service and technical teams to ensure customer commitments align with plant capability, capacity and commercial requirements. Customer Service manages day-to-day order administration and delivery coordination. The role has no direct reports.
Key responsibilities In this role, you will:
- Identify and win new customers in FMCG and food manufacturing, focusing on opportunities aligned with Gamsee’s capabilities and strategy.
- Retain and develop existing and strategic accounts through account plans, regular customer contact and senior-level reviews.
- Lead quotations, tenders, pricing reviews,
contract renewals and supply agreement negotiations within approved commercial authority.
- Protect margins through disciplined pricing, cost recovery, minimum order quantities, tooling returns and commercially sustainable terms.
- Monitor customer and product profitability, address margin erosion and escalate material commercial or retention risks.
- Maintain a qualified CRM pipeline, accurate sales forecasts and regular reporting on activity, wins, losses and customer demand changes.
- Provide market and competitor insights and contribute to budgeting, strategic planning and the company’s 90-Day Plans.
- Coordinate commercial aspects of tooling, product development and new product launches, confirming feasibility, capacity and profitability before making customer commitments.
- Work with Customer Service, Operations and Quality to ensure significant customer issues receive clear communication and effective follow-through.
About you
You are a practical sales professional who can open doors, build lasting customer relationships and negotiate sound commercial outcomes. You understand how manufacturing economics, technical capability and supply requirements influence a successful sale.
To be successful, you will bring:
- At least five years’ experience in plastics or food packaging manufacturing, with a proven record of generating profitable recent business.
- Demonstrated experience retaining and growing major B2B accounts,
from acquisition and contract negotiation through to ongoing account development.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills, margin discipline and the ability to assess customer and product profitability.
- A solid understanding of injection moulding processes and experience engaging procurement, technical and operational stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently, maintain a structured sales pipeline and use CRM systems for forecasting and reporting.
- Clear communication, reliable follow-through and the ability to work constructively across the business.
Existing relationships in food manufacturing, particularly dairy and yoghurt, or the packaging industry would be highly regarded. Experience with supermarket-aligned supply chains, tooling-based manufacturing, recycled materials and sustainability frameworks would also be advantageous.
What we offer
- A senior commercial role with direct access to the General Manager and a seat on the Leadership Team.
- The opportunity to shape profitable growth, develop strategic accounts and contribute to business direction.
- A permanent position with an established Australian manufacturer and support from experienced operational and technical teams.
- A competitive remuneration package based on experience and capability.
How to apply

- A significant new business win and how you ensured it delivered profitable, sustainable growth.
- An example of retaining or growing a major customer account.
- The actions you personally took and the measurable commercial results achieved.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. We thank all applicants for their interest in the position.
