About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic New Car Sales Consultant to join our team at our Traralgon VIC location. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career in automotive sales. As a New Car Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

You will be responsible for guiding customers through the entire vehicle purchasing journey, from initial inquiry through to vehicle handover, whilst building lasting relationships and contributing to the success of our dealership. We are looking for an experienced automotive salesperson to add to our team.

Key responsibilities

- Greet and engage potential customers, identifying their needs and preferences to recommend suitable new vehicle options
- Provide comprehensive product knowledge about current vehicle models, features, specifications, and available incentives
- Conduct test drives and product demonstrations to showcase vehicle benefits and capabilities
- Prepare and present quotations and financing options tailored to individual customer requirements




- Negotiate sales terms and pricing to close deals whilst maintaining profitability targets
- Complete all necessary documentation and administrative requirements associated with vehicle sales
- Build and maintain a customer database, following up on leads and maintaining relationships for repeat business and referrals
- Achieve individual and team sales targets, contributing to the dealership's overall performance objectives
- Stay current with product updates, pricing changes, and promotional campaigns
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

- Proven track record of success in automotive sales or a similar customer-facing sales role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer groups
- Natural sales ability with confidence in consultative selling techniques and negotiation skills
- Excellent product knowledge or proven ability to quickly learn and retain detailed product information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously
- Proficiency with computer systems and CRM software,



with willingness to embrace digital tools
- Valid Australian driver's licence and ability to conduct customer test drives
- Professional appearance and demeanour consistent with dealership standards
- Flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend hours as required by the business
- Previous automotive industry experience or relevant qualifications are essential; we will provide ongoing comprehensive training for suitable candidates
