Role Description The Night Auditor is a part-time, on-site role based at DoubleTree by Hilton Hobart in Hobart, TAS. This role is responsible for managing the front desk overnight, including check-ins and check-outs, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring a safe and welcoming setting.

The Night

Auditor will balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, process payments, and prepare end-of-day reports in line with hotel policies. Key tasks include managing reservations, responding to guest requests, resolving issues promptly, and coordinating with other departments when necessary. The role also involves monitoring lobby and public areas, following security procedures,



and maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism throughout the night shift.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and clearly with guests and colleagues.
- Experience with receptionist duties and front desk operations, including check-in/check-out procedures and guest inquiries.
- Proficiency in reservations management, using hotel booking systems or similar software to create, modify, and verify bookings.
- Accurate cash handling skills, including processing payments, balancing cash drawers, and reconciling financial transactions.
- Attention to detail and basic numeracy for night audit duties, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently overnight, manage multiple tasks, and follow established hotel policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel front office is highly regarded; experience with Hilton or branded hotel systems is an advantage.
- Availability to work night and weekend shifts as required, and eligibility to work in Australia.
