About the role

Trimar Trading and Kustom Finishes are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate materials, applying paint and other finishes, and ensuring all work is completed to a professional standard.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and holes, and applying primers and sealants.
- Select, mix and prepare paints, varnishes, stains and other finishing materials.
- Apply paint and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other appropriate tools.
- Measure and mix paint to achieve the required colours, consistency and finish.
- Apply protective coatings and decorative finishes in accordance with project requirements.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and rectify imperfections where necessary.
- Maintain painting tools and equipment and keep work areas clean and organised.




- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Work effectively with team members to complete projects within required timeframes.

About you

- A relevant Certificate IV qualification in painting, decorating or a related field, or at least three years of full time relevant work experience as a Painter.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation and finishing methods.
- The ability to select and use painting materials, tools and equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
