The role: Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Working with the Principal and Solicitor

Flexible 2 to 3 days

Typically, your duties will include but are not limited to:-

- Liaising with new clients and taking instructions
- Answering Further and Better Particulars
- Filing online Supreme Court , District Court, and Personal Injury Commission
- Completing forms such as Medicare , Centrelink and GIPA for clients
- Research of recent decisions and accessing /collating subpoenaed material
- Assisting Accounts
- All usual admin duties i.e. answer telephone, diarising, copying , filing , typing.

About you This role would suit a 4th or 3rd Year Law Student looking to gain hands on experience in a growing and friendly workplace. To secure this role, you will have the following qualities:-

- The ability and confidence to deal directly with clients
- A high degree of initiative, dedication, independence and organisation
- Solid academic results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail is a must
- Prior legal assistant experience an advantage.
