Great with people. Brilliant with details. Create a great employee experience.

Ongoing | Full-time or 0.8 FTE | Lucas, Ballarat

Salary: $39.37 per hour + salary packaging

There are around 300 people working at BCH, and behind every new starter, contract change, compliance check and pay cycle is administration work that needs to happen.

That's where you come in.

As our People and Culture Administrator, you'll be right in the middle of it. You might start your morning checking the P&C; inbox and helping a manager work out what they need. Then it's onto a new starter whose paperwork needs checking, a contract that needs preparing and employee records to update. Later, you're running a compliance report, following up something that's outstanding or helping the team with recruitment.

You'll be one of the first points of contact for employees and managers, while keeping the administration behind the scenes accurate, organised and moving.

What you'll be doing

You'll work across the day-to-day administration of People & Culture, including:

- preparing contracts, variations and employment letters
- supporting recruitment, appointments and onboarding
- maintaining accurate employee records in our HR system
- checking and following up employee compliance requirements
- responding to and triaging P&C; inbox and phone enquiries
- running reports and working with HR data and spreadsheets
- working alongside our Payroll Specialist and providing payroll backup when required
- supporting P&C; projects and finding practical ways to improve how we work.

You'll be great at this if...

- You can juggle priorities without losing the detail. You're organised, efficient and follow things through.
- You're approachable and confident.

You communicate easily with different people and enjoy being someone others can come to for help.
- You've got good judgement. You can work through straightforward questions and know when something needs to be escalated.
- You're comfortable with technology. You're confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and pick up new systems quickly.
- You might already work in HR administration, or you might be an experienced administrator ready to step into People & Culture. You don't need an HR qualification. Strong administration skills, good judgement and confidence with people and systems are what matter here.

What you'll get at BCH This is an ongoing role with the option to work full-time or 0.8 FTE, based at our Lucas site.

You'll have access to salary packaging, professional development and an ADO arrangement if you work full-time, while building practical People & Culture experience across a broad range of HR administration.
