Working alongside sponsors, supporters and church partners, we help fund and strengthen local church-led child development programs in over 25 countries, creating lasting impact for children, families and communities.

About the Role

As the Mid-Level Giver Partnerships Manager, you will build and grow meaningful relationships with Compassion Australia's mid-level givers, creating personalised opportunities for donors to deepen their connection to Compassion and the impact of their generosity. Working as part of the Strategic Giving Team and reporting to the Strategic Giving Partnerships Lead, you'll proactively engage, cultivate and steward a portfolio of donors, using research, CRM insights and robust relationship skills to identify opportunities to grow giving and develop potential major giver relationships. It's a role for a confident, curious and organised relationship builder who enjoys connecting with people and is motivated by meaningful fundraising outcomes and Compassion's mission to release children from poverty, in Jesus' name.

Key Accountabilities

- Design and deliver tailored stewardship, cultivation, solicitation and engagement activities that connect donors to the impact of their generosity.
- Build strong understanding of donor motivations, interests, capacity and communication preferences to identify opportunities for deeper engagement.
- Proactively engage donors through warm and timely phone, email and mail communication, with thoughtful preparation, follow-up and clear next steps.
- Develop and maintain Donor Engagement Plans and other portfolio planning tools to guide personalised and purposeful donor engagement.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and use donor data, engagement history and giving trends to identify opportunities and inform portfolio activity.

- Identify, qualify and progress potential Major Giver leads within the mid-level portfolio, partnering with Major Giver Partnership Managers on appropriate handovers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen supporter journeys, communications, stewardship initiatives and fundraising opportunities.
- Develop high-quality donor communications, proposals, impact updates and internal documentation that support meaningful engagement and align with Compassion's brand and fundraising standards.
- Align work with Compassion's Mission, Strategy, values and team priorities, contributing to financial and non-financial outcomes.

What You'll Bring

- Demonstrated experience in relational fundraising, building authentic donor relationships, delivering great supporter experiences and achieving financial and non-financial targets.
- Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills, with the ability to listen, ask thoughtful questions and adapt your approach across phone, email and face-to-face engagement.
- Solid CRM, data and research skills, with the ability to use donor insights to understand motivations, identify opportunities and manage an effective portfolio.
- Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to independently plan donor activity, prioritise follow-up, manage projects and events, and balance relationship-building with accurate administration.
- Sound understanding of mid-level fundraising and moves management, including qualification, cultivation, stewardship, segmentation, portfolio planning and pathways into major and planned giving.
- A strong understanding of supporter experience, including satisfaction, retention, acquisition and lifetime value, and the ability to collaborate across teams to improve donor journeys.
- Experience in prospecting,

lead generation and donor qualification, including warm and cold calling, personalised email engagement and working to targets. Experience in event and project management is highly desirable.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets, with qualifications in fundraising, ministry, sales, marketing, events, communications or a related discipline highly desirable.
