PR & Marketing Account Manager
Sattler & Co is a boutique PR, marketing and social media agency working with a carefully curated portfolio of clients across luxury lifestyle, tourism, hospitality, sport and golf.
We’re looking for a PR & Marketing Account Manager to join our team — someone who is an excellent communicator and copywriter, exceptionally organised, and confident working independently to turn ideas and strategies into action.
This is a hands-on account management and delivery role with a high degree of autonomy. Working alongside Sattler & Co’s senior team, you’ll help manage a portfolio of established brands, taking responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and execution of PR, marketing, content and event activity.
You’ll have senior support and strategic direction, but we’re looking for someone who can take a brief or agreed course of action and run with it — managing their own priorities, making sound decisions, anticipating what needs to happen next and keeping projects moving without requiring constant oversight.
The Role
Working closely with Sattler & Co’s senior team, you’ll help manage and deliver activity across a portfolio of clients.
Your work will include
- managing client WIPs, timelines, action plans and campaign calendars
- keeping projects moving, following up actions and ensuring deadlines are met
- writing and editing copy across media releases, pitches, websites, EDMs, social media, invitations and other marketing communications
- coordinating the execution of marketing campaigns and brand activity
- preparing client presentations, briefs, reports and other campaign materials
- liaising with clients, designers, photographers, venues, suppliers and other external partners
- coordinating events, launches, activations and partnerships from planning through to delivery
- briefing creative suppliers and managing feedback, approvals and delivery
- coordinating content and social media activity
- managing campaign assets, databases, media lists and other account administration
- identifying relevant media opportunities and developing story angles
- pitching media and managing media enquiries where required
- coordinating influencer and creator activity
- monitoring campaign activity and preparing clear, accurate client reporting.
About You
You’ll ideally have 3–5 years’ experience in PR, communications, marketing or account management, either agency-side or in a similarly fast-moving environment.
More than anything, we’re looking for someone who is highly organised, an excellent writer and confident working autonomously within a collaborative team.
You will
- be comfortable independently managing and delivering your areas of responsibility across multiple client accounts
- be able to take a strategy, brief or conversation and translate it into clear actions
- anticipate what needs to happen next rather than waiting to be given each individual task
- have excellent self-management skills and be able to prioritise competing deadlines
- be an excellent copywriter, able to adapt your writing across different brands, audiences and channels
- have exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- confidently support day-to-day client communication and account management
- proactively follow up clients, suppliers and partners and close the loop on actions
- have good judgement about what you can resolve independently and when to seek input from senior team members
- be comfortable managing the practical detail of campaigns, events and marketing activity from planning through to delivery
- understand the fundamentals of PR, marketing and social media, and be comfortable supporting media relations and publicity activity when required
- be practical, calm and solutions-focused
- work well independently while enjoying being part of a small, collaborative team.
Experience across tourism, hospitality, lifestyle, sport or consumer brands would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential. Strong writing, organisation, judgement and account management skills are more important to us than experience in any one sector.
This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys autonomy, takes initiative and can be trusted to take responsibility for their work from brief through to delivery.
The Opportunity
This role can be structured across four days per week, with genuine flexibility around how and where you work.
The role offers
- four days per week
- the opportunity to work with established national and international brands
- varied work across PR, marketing, content, events and brand activations
- occasional interstate travel and industry events
- significant autonomy within an experienced and supportive team
- scope for the role to evolve over time.
If you’re an experienced communications or marketing professional who loves outstanding writing, good organisation and making things happen, we’d love to hear from you.
