MARS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established organisation within the construction sector to recruit a Procurement & Contracts Officer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative procurement team, supporting sourcing, tendering and contract management activities across a diverse range of goods and services.

About the Role

Working closely with senior procurement and contracts professionals, you will support end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities, from tender preparation and supplier selection through to contract negotiation, administration and supplier performance management.

This is a diverse, hands-on role offering exposure to both procurement and contracts, with the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and broader sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage tendering activities, including preparation of tender documentation, evaluations and recommendations

- Assist with the drafting, negotiation and execution of supplier and contractor agreements

- Support contract administration, including pricing reviews, variations and supplier performance





- Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve procurement and contractual matters

- Assist with supplier onboarding, prequalification and ongoing supplier information management

- Maintain accurate procurement records, contract documentation and reporting

- Support procurement governance, compliance and risk management activities

About You To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Minimum 2 years' experience within procurement, sourcing, contracts administration or a similar role

- Understanding of procurement processes and commercial contract terms and conditions

- Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships across internal teams and external suppliers

- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel

- Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business or Law will be highly regarded but are not essential
