The Mental Health Division within the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) is the largest Mental Health Service in the region, covering a diverse geographical area. The division provides comprehensive care through 128 mental health beds, which are distributed across youth, adult, rehabilitation, and older adult inpatient units.

Position Profile

Medipeople, the leading provider of Psychiatrist locums to Western Australia, is seeking suitably qualified Consultant Psychiatrists to join the Mental Health Division across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Patient Safety and Quality of Care: Ensure high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
- Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education for doctors in training,



Health Service Medical Practitioners, and other health workers.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Medical Co-Director, Clinical Leads, and other Consultants to meet national, state, and EMHS performance standards and targets.
