About The Opportunity
At Avina, we believe great therapy starts with supported clinicians. That's why we've developed a structured internship pathway to help Provisional Psychologists build confidence, clinical capability and practical experience within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Based from our Goulburn clinic, you'll enjoy a combination of clinic, community and telehealth-based work, supporting participants across Goulburn and surrounding areas.
Our structured 12-month internship is designed for Master of Professional Psychology (5+1) graduates from Australian universities who are ready to commence their internship in 2026.
What The Internship Can Offer You
- Full AHPRA primary and secondary supervision, with no out-of-pocket supervision costs
- Structured onboarding, shadowing and a gradual clinical caseload ramp-up
- Experienced Psychology supervision, mentoring and leadership support
- Regular individual and group supervision and peer reflective practice
- Diverse clinical experience to support the development of your AHPRA competencies
- Professional development and ongoing learning opportunities
- A supportive multidisciplinary team across allied health and behaviour support
- A mix of Goulburn clinic, community and telehealth-based service delivery
As part of your role, you'll also work towards registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, with Positive Behaviour Support forming part of your broader caseload. This provides additional exposure to disability and behaviour support practice while your primary professional development remains focused on progressing through your Psychology internship.
Your 12-Month Journey Your caseload and responsibilities will gradually increase as your confidence and capability develop, with regular supervision and support throughout your internship.
