Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchase Manager role based in Melbourne, VIC.

The Purchase

Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement activities for agri commodities, including sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchasing in line with company policies and quality standards. The role involves managing supplier relationships, monitoring market trends and pricing, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support production and distribution schedules.

Manager will coordinate closely with operations, logistics, finance,



and quality teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize risk, and maintain compliance with regulatory and safety requirements. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate purchase records, preparing reports, and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong procurement and purchasing expertise, including vendor management, contract negotiation, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Experience in agri commodities or food processing sectors, with understanding of pulses, grains, oil seeds, or related products.
- Competence in data analysis, cost optimization, and inventory management using ERP or similar systems.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures, supply chain operations, and relevant regulatory and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work in office, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a purchasing or supply chain management role, ideally within a global or high-volume distribution environment.
