About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a university student, recent graduate, or someone looking to begin or develop their career in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry. Previous Quality Assurance experience is not essential, and training and support will be provided.

Working closely with the Quality Assurance and Operations team, you will provide support with the day-to-day activities required to maintain our food safety and quality systems, while also assisting with general administrative and production activities across the business whenever required.

This is a varied role that combines Quality Assurance, Production and Administration in a hands-on dairy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the QA team with routine food safety and quality activities.
- Collecting, reviewing, filing and maintaining QA and production records.
- Assisting with document control, including updating procedures, forms, registers and other controlled documents.
- Assisting with the collection of product, water and environmental samples for external laboratory testing and maintaining associated records.
- Supporting product traceability exercises and maintaining traceability records.
- Assisting with internal inspections, internal audits and preparation for external audits.
- Maintaining training, calibration, supplier and other QA records and registers.
- Assisting with the maintenance of product specifications, raw material information and other quality documentation.
- Supporting the recording and follow-up of non-conformances, corrective actions and quality issues.
- Communicating with Production and other departments.
- Assisting with general administrative activities including data entry, customer service and maintaining electronic records.
- Escalating any food safety, quality or compliance concerns identified during daily activities.
- Providing other QA,



Production and Administrative support as required.

We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable, eager to learn and has excellent attention to detail.

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage routine administrative and production responsibilities.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to work within a food manufacturing environment and comply with hygiene and food safety requirements.
- Flexible start time depending on work operations.

Previous experience in Food Manufacturing or Quality Assurance would be advantageous but is not essential. Qualifications or current/recent studies in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management or a related discipline would also be highly regarded.
