Qualified Automotive Spray Painter

Help us build a Paint Shop that gets 1% better every day

Hadwen's Prestige Collision Repairs

Bowen Hills, Brisbane QLD

Permanent full-time | 38 hours, Monday to Friday

$50-$58 per hour plus superannuation

Are you proud of the finish you produce - and looking for a workplace where your ideas, experience and contribution will genuinely matter?

Hadwen's is redesigning and improving our workshop. We want an experienced painter who will produce quality work, help develop our apprentices and contribute ideas about our future layout, equipment, workflow and working environment.

This is your opportunity to help build the Paint Shop you would want to work in, alongside a team that values quality, growth and enjoying how we get the work done.

Our values are how we work together

We are looking for someone who lives our values through their actions - not someone who simply agrees with the words.

Honest Teamwork - We pump up each other's tyres.

We help one another, share our knowledge and succeed as a team.

Transparent Communication - Keeping everyone tuned in.

We speak openly, listen properly and raise concerns before they become bigger problems.

Passionate Quality - Enjoyment-driven precision.

We enjoy our trade, care about the details and take pride in putting our name to a quality repair.

Empowered Growth - Igniting tomorrow's leaders.

We accept feedback, share what we know and help our apprentices and teammates grow.

People Focused - An experience that eases our customers' travels.

We remember that every repair affects a customer, a teammate and the person completing the next part of the job.

Our +1% mindset

We are building the Hadwen's Eco-System so our people, systems and customer experience can improve by 1% every day. It is not about chasing perfection. It is about staying open-minded, taking ownership and making small improvements that move the whole team forward.

What makes this chance different

- Genuine input into our workshop redesign, future layout, equipment and Paint Team workflow.

- The opportunity to pass on your skills and help train and develop our apprentices.

- $50-$58 per hour plus super, based on your experience and capability.

- Permanent Monday-to-Friday work with predictable hours.

- A PPG waterborne paint system and manufacturer-approved repairs across Lexus, Subaru, Genesis and BYD vehicles.

- Ongoing training, clear expectations and regular feedback.

- Free onsite parking, team lunches and celebrations.

- Stability in a family business established in 1930, where your contribution will be seen and valued.

We are not a large corporate repair network. You will know the people you work with, have access to management and see your ideas turn into real improvements.

The person we hope to meet

We are looking for a qualified Automotive Spray Painter who:

- Has the skills and work ethic to produce quality work.

- Is open-minded and willing to consider better ways of working.

- Communicates honestly, takes ownership and accepts feedback professionally.

- Helps the whole team succeed - not just their own jobs.

- Takes pride in teaching and developing apprentices.

- Brings positive energy and a bit of fun while maintaining high standards.

You will need a recognised automotive refinishing trade qualification, relevant experience, a current driver licence and Australian working rights.

PPG, prestige vehicle or manufacturer-approved repair experience would be valuable, but it is not essential. We can teach you our systems. What matters most is your skill, work ethic, attitude and alignment with our values. We welcome qualified applicants of all genders, ages and backgrounds.

Applying is simple

Send us your resume and a short answer to one question:

What would you personally bring to help the Hadwen's team, our apprentices and our workshop get 1% better every day?

We are not looking for perfect wording. We simply want to understand what matters to you and what you would bring to our team.
