Early Childhood Educator - Diploma of Certificate III Qualified
Permanent | Full time or Part-time | Hillarys, WA
When children feel safe to explore, connect with others and develop a strong sense of who they are, they build the foundations for lifelong learning, wellbeing and compassionate relationships with the world around them. That belief sits at the heart of Endeavour Early Learning.
We are a community-based, not-for-profit early learning service where children are known, relationships matter, and educators are given the time, support and trust to do their jobs well.
We believe that children who are respected, supported and encouraged to be themselves are more likely to grow into secure, curious and compassionate people. Our emerging philosophy is being deliberately shaped around that belief and three values that are already firmly part of who we want to be: Respect, Empathy and Curiosity.
We are looking for full time and part-time Cert III qualified and Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators who want to help us put this philosophy into practice.
What might feel different about Endeavour?
We know that quality early childhood education depends on great educators. Educators can only provide calm, thoughtful, and responsive care when their workplace supports them. That’s why we’ve chosen to invest in practical things that make a real difference.
- Two additional weeks of wellness leave after 12 months' service. Working with young children is demanding, both physically and emotionally. Extra time off helps our team rest, recharge, and care for their well-being. Children benefit most from educators who can be truly present with them.
- Above-award remuneration plus a retention payment. We want experienced educators to build their careers here, not just pass through.
- A generous Christmas shutdown. Taking time to truly disconnect is important. Our Christmas shutdown allows the team to spend quality time with family and friends and return refreshed for the new year.
- We intentionally staff above minimum regulatory ratios. For educators, this means more opportunities to slow down, notice what a child is saying, support new interests, help with tough transitions, or have real conversations with families, instead of just keeping up with minimum staffing levels
- We don't rely on agency educators to fill our rooms. Children do better with familiar adults, and educators work best with colleagues they know and trust.
- A full planning day for each room. Quality programming takes time to think and plan.
- Extensive professional development opportunities. Our training is meant to strengthen your skills, not just meet requirements, and gives you chances to explore topics that matter to our children, our philosophy, and your interests.
- Leadership informed by Dare to Lead. Our leadership team has completed Dare to Lead training, which focuses on courage, trust, values, and having open conversations. For educators, this means leaders who listen, address challenges, give clear feedback, and create a space where everyone can contribute honestly.

- A genuinely community-based, not-for-profit service. Endeavour exists for its children, families, and community. As a not-for-profit, we make decisions based on what will strengthen our service and the experiences we offer, not on profits for shareholders.
Bring your experience - and help shape what comes next
Endeavour is beginning to explore and adopt The Curiosity Approach® as part of the continued development of our educational philosophy and practice. We are at the beginning of that journey, rather than presenting ourselves as an established Curiosity Approach setting.
For an experienced Diploma educator, this creates a genuine opportunity to contribute. You can bring your knowledge of children, environments, programming and practice into conversations about what these principles should look like at Endeavour, what works for our community and what we should retain or evolve.
We are looking for someone who is confident enough to share their experience, while remaining curious enough to keep learning.
Respect. Empathy. Curiosity.
We don’t want these words to just sit on a wall and be forgotten. They should show up in the everyday interactions that happen at Endeavour.
Respect means seeing children as capable people whose voices, boundaries, cultures, emotions, and unique ways of being all matter. It also means that educators speak respectfully to each other,
even when they disagree; families are true partners; and every team member is valued.
Empathy means being curious about what’s behind someone’s behaviour before making assumptions. For a child, it could mean seeing dysregulation instead of calling them “difficult.” For a parent, it might mean understanding the worry behind a question. For a colleague, it means asking what’s going on before judging their intentions.
Curiosity means always noticing, asking questions, and learning. We look for educators who wonder, “What is this child telling me?” “What could we try differently?” and “What might happen if…?” It also means being open to reflecting on our own work, learning from each other, and making changes when there’s a better way.
Together, these values help create a safe environment—both emotionally and physically—where children can explore, build relationships, take healthy risks, make mistakes, and discover who they are.
Who we're looking for
You might be an experienced Diploma-qualified educator who wants to share your knowledge and shape practice, or a Certificate III-qualified educator looking for a place to keep learning from a strong team. For these positions, you will need to hold an ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma-level early childhood education and care qualification, or an approved equivalent appropriate to the position.
Just as important, we want to meet educators who:
- genuinely enjoy building relationships with children rather than simply supervising their day;
- believe children's behaviour is something to understand, not merely manage;
- communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues and families;
- can contribute to a team while being comfortable reflecting on their own practice;
- are interested in play, inquiry, children's agency and environments that invite exploration;
- take child safety and professional responsibilities seriously; and
- want to belong to and contribute to a service over time.
Join us and help shape what’s next. If you want to work somewhere that values relationships, supports quality practice, encourages professional growth, and gives educators the chance to truly connect with the children they work with, we’d love to hear from you.
Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified Certificate III and Diploma Early Childhood Educators.
