Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Pool | Regional NT | 6 Week Contract
Unite Healthcare is seeking experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses for a 6 week agency contract at a regional hospital in the Northern Territory, starting ASAP.

About the role
You'll be working as part of the hospital's nursing pool, providing cover across a range of acute medical and surgical wards based on daily staffing needs. This role suits an adaptable, confident nurse who is comfortable stepping into different clinical areas, picking up a patient load quickly and working alongside recent teams each shift.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high quality nursing care to acute medical and surgical patients
- Complete patient assessments, care planning and accurate clinical documentation
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy in line with hospital policy
- Recognise and respond to deteriorating patients, escalating appropriately
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health staff across multiple wards
- Support patient admissions, transfers and discharges
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no conditions
- Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in general medical/surgical nursing in an acute hospital setting
- Ability and willingness to work across different wards as required
- Current National Police Check
- NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) or willingness to obtain
- Up to date immunisations in line with NT Health requirements
- Current BLS/CPR certification
