We are seeking a talented Chef to join the kitchen team at Munch Cafe in Toowoomba, QLD. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst allowing you to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic hospitality environment. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, delicious meals to our customers, contributing to the reputation and success of our cafe.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to consistent high standards

Managing food preparation and cooking techniques in line with cafe standards and health and safety requirements

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace and equipment

Ensuring all dishes are presented attractively and served promptly

Collaborating with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations

Following recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency

Storing food items properly and managing inventory rotation

Adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times

What we're looking for

Proven experience working as a Chef or in a skilled kitchen environment

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and food safety practices

Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality standards





Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods

Flexibility and reliability, with a willingness to adapt to changing cafe needs

Attention to detail and passion for delivering excellent food

Relevant hospitality or culinary qualifications are advantageous
