An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate Structural Engineer who enjoys the technical side of engineering but also has the leadership qualities to develop and inspire a successful team.

This established engineering consultancy is looking for someone who can bring together strong technical capability, excellent client relationships and the ability to manage people and projects in a positive, collaborative environment.

The opportunity offers considerably more than simply managing structural designs. You will play an important role in shaping the future of the structures team, with genuine career progression towards Principal and ultimately Director.

The opportunity

You will be responsible for:

- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of Structural Engineers and Designers.
- Remaining hands-on with structural analysis, design and technical problem-solving.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects and other consultants.
- Coordinating resources and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and commercially.
- Creating a positive, supportive team environment where people enjoy working together.
- Working closely with senior management on the continued development and growth of the structural division.

What we're looking for

Ideally, you will bring:

- Strong Australian consultancy experience in structural engineering, particularly building structures.
- Proven experience leading engineers and coordinating project teams.




- Excellent technical knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
- Experience with ETABS, RAPT, SpaceGass or other recognised structural analysis and design software.
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to develop lasting professional relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to balance hands-on engineering with leadership and project management.
- A genuine interest in mentoring others and creating a successful team culture.
