About The Role

As a DFR Nurse Officer , you'll be instrumental in conducting medical assessments and supporting candidate screening in line with Defence protocols. The successful candidate will be based at Wollongong ADFCC on a part time basis working a five (5) day fortnight, Wednesday, Thursday and every second Friday.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct telephone vetting and face-to-face preliminary assessments
- Review medical history questionnaires and document findings in electronic health records
- Provide support and guidance to Medical Screeners
- Complete medical file reviews
- Monitor and maintain clinical equipment used during assessments
- Follow structured procedures within a defined Defence health framework

About You

You are a registered nurse with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in patient care and documentation.

Essential Criteria

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse




- Minimum 3 years' broad clinical experience in a comparable health system
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using electronic medical records and ICT systems
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current CPR certification (HLTAD009)
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory for AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance)

Desirable

- Experience working in a Defence or base setting
- Background in pre-employment medicals or occupational health
