ABMARC is seeking an experienced Senior PEMS Engineer to join our growing vehicle emissions and regulatory testing team.

ABMARC is a leading Australian independent testing and engineering consultancy specialising in vehicle emissions, fuel consumption, ADAS, safety and regulatory compliance testing for government and industry clients.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience or knowledge in:

- Portable Emissions Measurement Systems (PEMS)
- Real Driving Emissions (RDE) and In-Service Conformity (ISC) testing
- Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) emissions testing and compliance
- Experience in Pure Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) testing and validation
- Knowledge of EV and PHEV energy consumption, electric range, charging performance and real-world efficiency testing
- Experience with regulatory and consumer testing programs for battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles
- Understanding of emerging international standards and test procedures relating to on-road and off-road emissions testing
- Operation, calibration and maintenance of portable emissions measurement equipment
- Data analysis, emissions reporting and technical interpretation




- Technical project management and client liaison

About the Role

The role involves leading complex emissions testing programs for on-road vehicles, non-road mobile machinery, engines and emerging powertrain technologies. The successful applicant will provide technical leadership across test planning, execution, data analysis and regulatory compliance activities.

Degree qualified in Mechanical, Automotive or related Engineering discipline.

Significant experience in PEMS-based emissions testing.

Strong understanding of RDE, ISC and regulatory compliance programs.

Experience with emissions measurement equipment and data analysis software.

Excellent technical writing and client communication skills.
