Systems Tester | Federal Government | Wollongong

12-month contract with potential for a further 12-month extension

Location: Wollongong

Existing Baseline or NV1 security clearance highly preferred

Talent International is partnering with a major Federal Government organisation to recruit an experienced Systems Tester to support the delivery of complex technology projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hands-on automation testing experience to work across modern cloud technologies, system integrations and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute test strategies, test plans and automation frameworks.

- Perform end-to-end system, integration, regression, API and database testing.

- Design and implement automated tests using C#, Java and modern automation tools.

- Test AWS cloud environments, data migrations and event-driven integrations.

- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

- Manage defects, test environments, reporting and release readiness.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts and stakeholders within Agile Scrum teams.

- Mentor junior and intermediate testers to improve automation capabilities.

About You





To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in systems testing, with a strong focus on automation.

- Strong hands-on automation experience using C# and Java.

- Demonstrated experience testing AWS environments, including DMS/CDC and Kinesis.

- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, JMeter, Postman and Swagger.

- Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation and defect investigation.

- Experience testing APIs, data migrations and event-driven architectures.

- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.

- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum delivery methodologies.

- Experience leading testing activities and mentoring less experienced testers.
