Captain Nemo's Pool Spa Marine is seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Eight Mile Plains, QLD 4113. As a Pool Service Technician, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and servicing pools and spa facilities for our valued clients, ensuring their equipment operates safely and efficiently. This role is crucial to our business, as it directly impacts customer satisfaction and the longevity of pool and spa systems. You will work both on-site at client locations and from our base, providing essential maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support.

Key responsibilities

Perform routine pool and spa maintenance including water testing, chemical balancing and equipment inspection

Diagnose and repair pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heaters and circulation systems

Clean and maintain pool surfaces, skimmers and filtration systems to ensure optimal water quality

Provide technical advice to clients regarding pool care and system maintenance

Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of all work completed

Respond promptly to client service calls and emergency repair requests

Identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards

Maintain vehicle and equipment in good working order and ensure proper stock levels of chemicals and spare parts

Build strong relationships with clients through professional and reliable service delivery

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Pool Service Technician or in a similar maintenance and handyperson services role

Sound knowledge of pool and spa systems, including pumps, filters, heaters and circulation equipment

Understanding of water chemistry and ability to test and balance pool water accurately





Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment faults

Valid driver's licence and reliable access to transport for visiting client sites

Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule while meeting client commitments

Excellent customer service skills and professional communication abilities

Physical fitness to perform manual labour and work in outdoor conditions

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship

Relevant qualifications or certifications in pool maintenance or spa service would be highly advantageous
