Integritas Accountants and Advisers Pty Ltd – Footscray VIC

The Intermediate Accountant prepares tax returns, financial statements and activity statements for a diverse client base across many industries, to a standard ready for senior review. The role covers the full engagement from ledger to lodgement. It is a hands-on compliance position that includes bookkeeping where a job needs it, and it carries growing responsibility as the accountant progresses towards CA or CPA qualification. Assist in the delegation and review of compliance work to the offshore team to support the direct manager.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
- Prepare working papers, reconciliations and client files to a review-ready standard
- Assist senior staff with FBT returns, Division 7A calculations and broader tax and advisory work
- Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS
- Prepare GST reconciliations
- Handle bookkeeping across client files where needed, including processing, reconciliations, payroll and clean-up
- Work across Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
- Prepare SMSF accounts,



returns and audit-ready workpapers where experience allows
- Prepare management reporting for clients
- Support clients with day-to-day queries

About you

- Around 2-4 years' experience in an Australian accounting firm or public practice
- Solid compliance experience preparing tax returns and financial statements across entity types
- Experience preparing Business Activity Statements
- Sound bookkeeping skills and confidence across Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
- Accounting or commerce degree, completed or near completion
- Studying towards CA or CPA, or ready to start
- Robust attention to detail and good time management, with the ability to juggle multiple jobs and clients
- Good communicator who works well within a team
- Right to work in Australia
- Desirable: SMSF experience, FBT and Division 7A exposure, experience with practice and tax software, Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or software certifications
