You know how to turn business expertise into stories that build credibility, open conversations and get people noticed.

We're looking for a B2B content marketer who understands that great content starts well before the writing.

This is an opportunity to join a growing professional services team within a major global organisation, helping build awareness of its specialist expertise, people and projects across the Australian market.

The business is evolving, expanding its capabilities and bringing together different areas of expertise to offer clients a more connected service. The opportunity now is to help the market understand what the business does, why its expertise matters and the value it can bring to clients.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, you'll uncover the stories, insights and industry developments that deserve a bigger audience. You'll turn those opportunities into thought leadership, expert profiles and content that strengthens the business's reputation and positions its people as credible voices in their fields.

This isn't a traditional marketing role built around campaigns, media budgets or performance reporting. It's about understanding a complex B2B business, building relationships and knowing how to translate its expertise into content that resonates with the right audience.

The opportunity

You'll take ownership of content development across a national professional services team, working alongside colleagues in marketing, digital, PR and creative to make sure the right stories reach the right people.

Your focus will be on identifying opportunities, developing the content and finding ways to maximise its value across different channels.

What you’ll be doing

- Developing the content strategy and calendar: Build a national content calendar around business priorities, industry events, market developments and opportunities to showcase the team's expertise.
- Finding the stories others might miss: Keep across industry news, emerging trends and relevant research, connecting these developments to the work the business does and the expertise it can offer.
- Creating thought leadership: Interview subject matter experts and develop articles, commentary and insights that demonstrate the team's knowledge and point of view.
- Building the profile of the people behind the work: Develop expert profiles,

speaker biographies and content that helps position key people as credible voices in their fields.
- Bringing projects to life: Turn complex projects, appointments and client work into compelling stories that demonstrate the value of the team's services.
- Making content work harder: Adapt ideas for LinkedIn, website content, newsletters, EDMs and other relevant channels, finding opportunities to extend the reach of each story.
- Connecting the dots across the business: Identify opportunities to bring different service lines together in the content, demonstrating the breadth of expertise available to clients.
- Working around key events: Plan content before, during and after industry events to build awareness, capture insights and keep conversations going.
- Building strong internal relationships: Work with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts across different disciplines and locations to uncover ideas and develop content that reflects their expertise.

You'll have access to established corporate marketing, digital, PR and creative teams. Your role is to identify the opportunities, develop the stories and work with those teams to help get the content in front of the right audiences.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience in B2B content marketing, communications or thought leadership, ideally within a professional services, consulting or other complex services business.

You understand that in B2B, content isn't just about publishing regularly. It's about building trust, demonstrating expertise and helping potential clients understand why a business is worth talking to.

You'll bring

- Experience developing content for a B2B audience, ideally within professional services, consulting or a technical services environment.
- Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to turn complex subject matter into clear, engaging and relevant content.
- An understanding of content marketing and how thought leadership can build reputation, credibility and awareness over time.
- The curiosity to follow industry developments,

identify relevant topics and connect them to the expertise within a business.
- Confidence building relationships with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, including people who may not have much time to give you.
- A proactive approach to finding stories, generating ideas and developing content opportunities rather than waiting for a brief.
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage a content calendar across multiple service lines, stakeholders and deadlines.
- A collaborative working style and the confidence to work across marketing, digital, PR and creative teams.

Your industry background matters less than your ability to understand a business and its audience. Experience in consulting, engineering, planning, property economics or another professional services environment would be valuable, but we're equally interested in someone from a different B2B services sector who can bring the right skills and perspective.

If your experience is primarily in consumer marketing, lifestyle content or high-volume copywriting, this may be a different type of role to what you're used to. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of a business and building its profile through thoughtful, relevant content.

This is a newly created role, giving you the chance to shape how a growing professional services team communicates its expertise to the market.

You'll work closely with the team lead and have the support of a much broader marketing function, including established digital, PR and creative specialists.

You'll also work across a variety of disciplines, projects and industry topics, building relationships with experts and helping bring their knowledge to a wider audience.

For someone who enjoys the intersection of B2B marketing, content strategy, research and relationship building, this is an opportunity to have a genuine influence on how a business is understood in the market.

The details

- Sydney CBD
- $90,000–$100,000 + super
- Four days per week in the office, with some flexibility
- National remit
- Newly created role

If you understand B2B audiences, enjoy finding the stories behind complex businesses and know how to turn expertise into content that builds credibility, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note: Only candidates with full Australian working rights will be considered.
