HSEQ Coordinator – Fast-Paced Manufacturing

Are you an experienced HSEQ professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys being hands-on in the operation? We’re currently recruiting for an established manufacturing organisation based in Narangba seeking an experienced HSEQ Coordinator to join their team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing or FMCG environment, where priorities can change quickly and HSEQ needs to keep pace with the operation. You’ll work closely with operational leaders, project teams and site personnel to strengthen HSEQ systems, ensure compliance and drive practical improvements across the business.

About the role

As the HSEQ Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting and strengthening HSEQ practices across a busy manufacturing operation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Developing and maintaining HSEQ policies, procedures, SWMS and other documentation
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments across the operation
- Identifying hazards and implementing practical control measures
- Providing HSEQ guidance,



training and support to operational teams
- Managing incident and near-miss investigations
- Driving corrective and preventative actions through to completion
- Monitoring compliance with relevant WHS and environmental legislation
- Maintaining HSEQ documentation, records and reporting
- Tracking HSEQ performance and key metrics
- Working closely with operational and site teams to identify opportunities for improvement
- Supporting a strong safety culture within a fast-paced production setting

About you

We’re looking for someone who can operate confidently in a busy manufacturing environment and is comfortable being visible and hands-on across the operation. You’ll ideally have:

- 3+ years’ experience in an HSEQ Coordinator or similar role
- Previous experience within FMCG, high-volume manufacturing or another fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience working in an operational environment where production, safety and quality need to work together
- A relevant tertiary qualification in HSEQ, WHS, Environmental Management or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence working with both operational teams and management
- Experience using HSEQ systems, reporting tools and documentation
- A practical, proactive approach to HSEQ and continuous improvement
- The ability to work at pace, prioritise competing demands and build strong relationships across the operation
