We are currently seeking a full time Primary Products Assurance and Inspection Officer for our business located in Lindenow Valley Region, Victoria.

Inspect vegetables and other fresh produce for quality, freshness, size, appearance and condition. Check incoming produce to ensure it meets company and customer quality requirements.

Inspect produce during sorting, grading, packing, storage and dispatch. Check vegetables for pests, diseases, damage, contamination and other defects. Take samples and carry out basic quality checks and testing of produce.

Ensure vegetables are correctly graded, packed, labelled and prepared for delivery. Monitor cleanliness and hygiene in produce handling, packing and storage areas. Check storage areas and conditions to help maintain product quality and freshness.

Inspect loading and handling of produce to prevent damage and contamination. Identify and separate poor-quality or non-conforming produce. Record inspection results, quality issues, rejected produce and corrective actions.

Monitor compliance with company quality,



food safety and hygiene procedures. Conduct regular quality checks and internal inspections of production and packing areas. Report quality problems and provide recommendations to management.

Assist staff with correct handling, grading, packing and storage procedures. Monitor corrective actions to ensure identified quality problems are resolved. Assist with customer complaints by investigating produce quality issues.

Maintain quality assurance records and inspection documents. Assist with audits and inspections by customers, suppliers or regulatory authorities. Recommend improvements to processes to maintain and improve the quality of vegetables and other primary products.

In return you will receive: Package: $79,000-85,000 per annum plus superannuation

Position: Full time (38 hours a week) Ongoing support from our team

Requirements of position AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of experience to substitute formal qualification
