As the Recruitment Officer, you’ll report directly to the Department Manager and play a key role in growing and strengthening our subcontractor fleet. You’ll proactively identify, attract, and onboard high-quality subcontractors, ensuring their vehicles and equipment meet our operational standards and that every new starter receives a strong, safety‑focused induction experience.

What you’ll be doing:

- Support planning and recruit drivers based on business needs.
- Advertise, screen and conduct group/individual interviews.
- Ensure all onboarding requirements are clearly communicated.
- Conduct regular vehicle and equipment audits
- Manage incentive agreements and ensure accurate earnings.
- Resolve payment queries promptly and record all communication.
- Conduct exit interviews and highlight improvement opportunities.




- Provide admin support to the Management team.
- Attend meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.

You will succeed in this role if you:

- Have 2-3 years in a similar role in sales or transport (training provided for the right candidate)
- Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and bring an open, approachable manner to your work
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes in every interaction
- Show patience and resilience, approaching challenges with a practical, solution-focused mindset
- Are results-driven and motivated to identify and pursue new opportunities
- Feel confident building, managing, and nurturing strong subcontractor relationships
- Are adaptable and coachable, with a willingness to embrace new strategies to support portfolio growth
- Have the ability to build and maintain relationships within a fast-paced transport workplace
- Appreciate negotiating commercial outcomes and effectively managing subcontractor expectations
- Can de-escalate challenging situations while maintaining professional and long-term working relationships
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Rights to work in Australia
